The "Friends of the Ferry Plantation House" is an independent 501(c) nonprofit, solely supported by Volunteer help and revenues from Tours, Memberships, Special Events and Donations. Your contribution helps us to preserve our "Legacy on the Lynnhaven"!

Members have unlimited access to Ferry Plantation Tours and first call for Special events. Yearly dues are $25, while a lifetime membership is only $250!

 

Volunteer

We thrive on our volunteers! Ferry Plantation House is 100% volunteer run. For opportunities to volunteer, please call, email or send us a message on Facebook.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Gardening

  • Tour guides

  • Clean up

  • General handiwork around the house

  • Event help

Honestly, the list is never ending!

We also have opportunities for Junior Docents. Ages 13 and up can volunteer for many of the same things listed above. Volunteering looks great on college applications. Many of our Junior Docents have gone to college and still return to volunteer when they come back home.
